Adult Sunday School at St. Paul
Looking for a Sunday School class? Below is some brief information about each of our adult classes that we hope you will find helpful. All of our classes open with announcements, sharing celebrations and concerns, prayer and then the lesson for the day.
The Friendship Class is a class primarily of older adults, singles and couples. They use Bible study material called Seasons of the Spirit Series that follows the seasons of the Christian year and the lectionary (a series of scripture lessons I use for sermon selection each Sunday). Teaching style is lecture and discussion. Bob Baker, a retired forester, teaches this class. Fred Elam also teaches when needed. The class begins at 9:45 a.m. They meet in Room 207 of the Education Building.
The Family Corner Class is mostly couples in their forties and fifties with some singles. They study a variety of subjects throughout the year. The class is presentation/discussion-oriented and facilitated by Tricia Glidewell. She is an academic dean, dean of faculty at Marist. Class starts around 10:00 a.m. and meets in Room 206 of the Education Building.
The SPA Class (St. Paul Adults) consists of couples and singles. Sam Glidewell leads this discussion-oriented class. He works as a research scientist at Georgia Tech Research Institute. Class begins around 10:00 a.m. and meets in the Education Building, Room 205.
Other Classes: In addition to these Sunday School classes we also offer long and short-term classes at various times, day or evenings, throughout the year. The pastor and gifted laity teach and facilitate these classes. Watch for the announcements on the website, worship bulletins, and monthly newsletter for upcoming classes.
